• "my pride and joy..."

    it was our convocation today, n everyone looked so super duper b-e-a-utiful (xcept a few)..even diurg nas n frens oso dis turn girlish for a few hours!!

  every class monitor had to do a speech. so i did... and lemme tel you i was soooooooooooooo nervous!! my heart was beatin so fast, my hands were sweaty, n i cudnt stop shakin my legs...i had to minta tisu from esther to dry my sweat... n even after d tissues hancur mancur(hmm?) oso my hands didnt stop sweating! tcher suziela was like "hana, why do look so sad?" and i sed "nervous bah teacherrrr...." den grace egen(she was sittin next to me) "naz nervous!!" sheesh! so first was the speeches from the guest of honours, then came the time wen 5 IT started going up to take their profiles. then 5 CK, then 5 BJ, then 5 Arif... u cn just totally imagine how scared i was getting! well maybe cannot la, but still... my heart was racing! i never ba make speech in front of ppl... i shy... so i scared la.

  nyway, THANK GOODNESS teacher rahman pronounced my name properly! ystrdy at the rehearsals he sed "hana nazsuleeqa"  but today he did say "hana nazsulaeeqa" so im pleased

  so ya... it was my turn to do the speech. so let me share wit u my 'pride and joy'

  "Assalamualaikum and good morning to our principal, Pn. Pang, Pn Teh. Pn. Aini, teachers, parents and all graduates.

                  It’s hard to believe… It’s been almost 5 years since we’ve first entered the gates of St. Francis’ Convent Secondary School and I’ve never imagined myself being able to stand here talking to all of you. As the monitor of 5 Bestari, I would like to thank my lovely, lovely assistant, Isabel for helping me throughout, and my classmates for cooperating and NOT cooperating – it taught me a lot!

                  To our beloved class teacher, Mr. Wilfred, thank you for being extra patient with us. We know we’re hard to handle. Do know that we’re extremely grateful to have you as our class teacher and our very kind chemistry teacher.

  To all the teachers who’ve taught us through these years, thank you. Without you we wouldn’t know what we know today.

  Thank you for your time and patience and for the wrongs that you made right. Thank you for the stories you’ve shared, laughter, jokes as well as advices. Thank you for all the lessons you’ve given us. You taught us well!

  For all the e=mc², alpha, beta and gamma, for all the electrons and protons, the mitosis and meiosis, even for the basic ABC’s and 123’s, I on behalf of the students in 5 Bestari thank you.

  Last but certainly not least, to Pn. Pang, Pn Teh, and all the other teachers, thank you for your support and encouragement to study. Though we may not be the best of the last Bestarians, we guarantee that we will remain in your memory for life. Sorry for all our naughtiness and wrong doings and we hope we’re forgiven! Thank you all teachers, we love you!

                  For both my mum and dad thank you for your endless love and care and a special thank you to my mum who is willing to watch me graduate high school, All parents, be very proud of your daughters, because to me, they’re the best.

  My best friends, you know who you are, thank you so very much for being with me. Thank you for sticking with me through thick and thin and for always being a shoulder for me to cry on. You’ve helped me grow.

  We’ve always been told that ‘nasi sudah menjadi bubur’ but ‘bubur masih boleh dimakan’ and that is why to us Bestarians, it is never too late to change! So, fellow comrades, let’s not fight the coming battle with each other, but let’s face it together and always remember that it does not end there! Best of luck to all of us, keep the convent spirit alive, and happy graduation day!

  but it's beautiful, ain't it? hehehe. almost cried, too!

   

  so den after my 'pride and joy' ordi finish, teacher wilfred was the first one who sed that he liked the speech. then tcher david n frens sed "congratulations" then teacher jafri call me n he said "kau tida cakap sepa yang ajar kau tu perkataan!" (the nasi sudah menjadi bubur thing. if u read, u wud know :p) haha!

   

  then wen i wanted to go back in line teacher alia sed "that was beautiful(or smthin like that)" then she shook my hand and my hand was cold, then she said "sejuknya tangan!" then teacher suziela oso shook my hands. then i hugged my best friends. reggie thara ain then mel.

  sr carmen also liked my speech. so did pn. pang... (huiyoooo....haha!) n so did sum1's parent yg i dunno who dat. n my frens too

   

  m glad i have my friends to help me finish my speech. thank you friends. thankies to my reggie! love u!

   

  yeah, so my speech was my pride and joy.

   

  my mum said she pula yg 'BEGAGAR' wen i was makin my speech. if she begagar wat egen me?!

   

  i have to slap myself so dat i cud go back to the real world... im just so proud of my speech! hahahaha.

  we went to wisma after that. the convo i mean. went to makan at kfc. CUZ THERE WAS NOTHING LEFT TO EAT.kejam punya orgs...well partly our fault juga la. sigh...den pusing here and there. then go home. n here i am.

  marichelle smsed me bout a thing... still wondering what ever happened till we become laidis. why ah? i really dunno.

  oh and m really happy tha i got 28 over 40 for sej paper 1 i never get that high b4! i will work hard! must! sigh. how many times ordi i say dt?

  reggie just called me!

  she called me egen!hahaha...
